Long Description:
We are going to cover the foundational steps of how to paint non-metallic metal. In this class, we are going to focus on where to place highlights and shadows, which was the most frustrating concept I encountered when beginning to learn NMM. Due to time constraints, the style of NMM covered is simple and stylized, not display-level or hyper-realistic. This effect is a great introduction to the foundations of NMM painting, including high contrast, highlight and shadow placement, and how light reflects off metallic geometric shapes. By the end of class, you will have the knowledge and tools to paint a tabletop NMM effect on your miniatures, and the resources to continue to improve your NMM.
