Long Description:
Codes of Conduct define what is acceptable and encouraged and what is prohibited and punished at gaming events. Developing that CoC is the first step (take the complementary workshop: Don’t Be a Dick is Not A Code of Conduct: Creating a CoC for Your Gaming Group). Knowing what to do, with a clear and transparent plan for handling violations is next.
This workshop is designed and run by a pioneer in Codes of Conduct and safety tools in North American gaming communities, including larps, conventions, and online spaces. Working from your (or a sample) CoC, you will identify core team members and develop processes and procedures for reporting, deliberation, sanction, & communication to offender, victim, & community. This workshop helps you create internal procedures and external contacts for CoC violations; the companion workshop helps you create a fair, legal, and comprehensive CoC.
