The three boards represent the day, month, and year and are interconnected so the board state today can impact the board state of the month or year. Your opponent will await your misstep looking for an opportunity to set you back. Perpetual is designed to provide a unique game for each day of the year and to create a daily meta that abstract gamers can commiserate about.
