Long Description:
The 'eavy metal painting style has become dominant in the wargaming painting scene since it appears on all the box art of the most popular miniatures range out there. And while it looks great for product photography, man is it TEDIOUS, and frankly a little cartoony looking. I have always found that painting for a little bit more of a realistic look, and borrowing from the techniques of our 2D artist peers is much more exciting. In this class we will take a step by step approach to learning volumetric highlighting covering topics such as: color choices, light placement, paint application, contrast ratios, and more.
