Long Description:
Its time to move away from boring monochromatic paint schemes where in order to create a blue surface you start with dark blue, move into mid blue, and end with a light blue. Consider the following paint recipe: base-coat purple, mid-tone blue, highlight grey. What color will you perceive this surface as? The answer is: it depends on the context and the other colors on the model. More than that what do these color choices tell us about the setting and the history of the model? In this course you will work collaboratively with your fellow painters to explore how color choice can be a powerful narrative tool while also improving the visual complexity of your painting. For intermediate to advanced painters.
