Or rather, those were the circumstances until recently. You're one of a handful of folks starting to remember other details of your past lives. Moreover, your posthumous resuscitation now cures ailments and rejuvenates muscle function.
This scenario takes your character from "0th" level up to a proper 1st level adventurer and beyond. You may die...frequently, but you'll choose abilities to improve and skills and feats to learn on the fly as you encounter difficulties.
