Long Description:
This adventure for 5th level characters takes place in the Historica Arcanum universe, where real history meets dark fantasy. The setting is 19th-century Ottoman Empire, in the capital Istanbul (Konstantiniyye) and the Anatolian hinterland.
Osman Hamdi Bey, polymath and advisor to the sultan, has heard disturbing reports from Anatolia: the tombs of Hittite royal princes have been looted, and disturbing magical effects are wreaking havoc on the countryside. The adventurers will be paid handsomely if they can recover whatever was stolen, bring the perpetrator to justice, and return it to its resting place – or bring it to Istanbul for safekeeping.
Pregen characters will be provided with story hooks to connect you quickly to the adventure. Also, in the Historica Arcanum universe, powerful spells cause warps in Reality, creating potentially negative effects called Spell Rebound.
