Long Description:
London, five years after the Whitechapel murders. The killings are officially over. Edwin Harrowick, author and independent researcher, has vanished from polite society. His lodgings are abandoned. His correspondence has ceased. Before his disappearance, Edwin claimed the Ripper cases were “not properly concluded.” Not the crimes themselves—but the records. Police files reappear after being archived. Census entries shift. Civil claims reference individuals who cannot be located. Death certificates exist for men still drawing wages.Such matters are sensitive. The Whitechapel murders remain a public wound and a political liability. Reopening them—even inadvertently—would not be welcomed. You are not being asked to pursue a killer, of course, you are being asked to locate Edwin Harrowick—and to determine what compelled him to withdraw from public view.
