This conversation will impact the intersection of hip-hop, comics/anime, and gaming (particularly, TCGs), with topics such as: * Is betting on “blerd culture” a niche or mainstream play? * What are the avenues to navigate in order to get games like Five Mics funded? * What beneficial steps can we take to be more inclusive of black/brown and women TCG players? * When creating a new market, what steps do you need to take to ensure you’re effectively expanding the pie and not stifling growth? This talk will be hosted by Billboard-charting hip-hop artist, Call Me Ace (Founder & CEO of Five Mics Studios) and Javon Goard (video game researcher and PhD candidate at John Hopkins University).
