We'll discuss natural threats in treacherous terrain, and how to implement them at the gaming table, with example story twists, encounter maps and dice mechanics. Make the landscape ACTIVE in your TTRPG! There will be time for questions if your favorite threat isn't included. Scott Rice-Snow is a DM and author of 'Landscapes for Writers and Game Masters: Building Authentic Natural Terrain into Imagined Worlds', available from McFarland Press. Scott and Jennifer Rice-Snow host ground4inspiration.net, an online geomorphology resource for GMs, writers, and travelers.
