We’ll discuss ways that the landscape setting itself naturally imposes debilitating conditions on players (dazed, immobilized, deafened, etc,) and explore the great variety of settings where mere walking is a difficulty. Scott Rice-Snow is a DM and author of 'Landscapes for Writers and Game Masters: Building Authentic Natural Terrain into Imagined Worlds', available from McFarland Press. Scott and Jennifer Rice-Snow host ground4inspiration.net, an online geomorphology resource for GMs, writers, and travelers.
