Long Description:
Based on the traditional Japanese art of kinusaiga, this modified version will see students carve the provided landscape design into a piece of foam board, then wrap the carved sections in small pieces of fabric to achieve a quilted effect. This class will involve sharp tools and detailed handwork, so some dexterity and knowledge of tool safety is recommended.
All materials will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring:
-your preferred fabric/embroidery scissors
-your preferred hobby knife
-fabric scraps (any size) to use and/or share
