Timing:
Thu 10:00 AM - Thu 3:00 PM
Location:
Westin
/ Senate II
Long Description:
If you geek out over the "Geology of Middle Earth", this class is for you! In this workshop for GMs, writers, and mapmakers, you'll go step-by-step through the creation of a simple map using real-world knowledge of geology, biology, hydrology, and atmospheric science. Find out how subjects such as plate tectonics, biome distribution, and climate zones are interconnected. You'll walk away with a map of a plausible continent or two, layers of different information you can swap out as you like, and information to start building a more complex one at home.
Transparent sheets and wet-erase markers will be provided. If you prefer to work digitally, you may instead bring your own fully-charged device to use.
