Timing:
Fri 1:00 PM - Fri 3:00 PM
Location:
Marriott
/ Boston
Long Description:
Neurodiverse writers have always been around and frequently approach the art of fiction in different ways from neurotypical people. For authors who are on the autistic spectrum, have ADHD, anxiety, dyslexia, bipolar disorder, and other diverse ways of experiencing the world, traditional advice on how to write fiction may actually be harmful or counterproductive. In this workshop, neurodiverse author Jason Sanford will explore the tips and strategies he’s used to succeed with his fiction. In addition, he’ll also cover how some of the typical advice given to writers can actually be harmful to neurodiverse authors.
The workshop will feature an in-person presentation and a Q&A session. Space will also be provided after the workshop for one-on-one and small group discussions with Jason. There will be no pressure on anyone to take part in discussions.
