Long Description:
This four-hour workshop gives you an intensive, hands-on experience to explore the theory and practice of GMing. We’ll focus on what it takes to get an adventure ready for the table, and then practice game-running as a skill involving what we call the “core GM loop” that gets everyone imagining in the same direction. A participant-coach will be at the table as you take your as GM for the adventure you’ve prepped together. We’ll discuss different play-styles and techniques for responding to what players offer in the moment. You’ll walk away with a stronger skill base and portfolio of tools to use in preparing and running dynamic and engaging play sessions. You’ll develop your flexibility, adaptiveness, and improvisational ability in an entertaining and enjoyable way as we celebrate the art of the GM together.
