Richard Dansky is a highly acclaimed writer of video games who has been active in the field since 1999. The author of the critically praised The Video Game Writer's Guide to Surviving an Industry That Hates You, he has gathered a career's worth of findings, techniques, and best practices to share with you if you're interested in exploring video game writing.
The workshop will cover everything from the basics of game writing and how to write for interactive media successfully to laying out tasks and techniques that are unique to video games to best practices for succeeding in the role beyond just writing. Attendees will be expected to participate in exercises during the workshop, giving them a chance to get hands-on with proven techniques right off the bat.
